Dr. Maya Meinhold attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with an Equine Emphasis and a Spanish Language Minor.  While there, Dr. Maya participated for 2 years in the colts-in-training program where she learned valuable training experience in the reining industry.  Dr. Maya has extensive riding experience in Hunter/Jumper, Rodeo events, Working ranch horse, Reining, and Cutting.  Dr. Maya has been going to a chiropractor since she was an infant, and she was exposed to animal chiropractic while attending UWRF when she had her own horses adjusted.  

 

Dr. Maya graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN as a Doctor of Chiropractic with honors. She is a licensed chiropractor in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.  The final stage of her animal chiropractic journey came with earning her certification from Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Wellsville, KS to become an Animal Chiropractor. Dr. Maya is certified by Options for Animals and the IVCA (International Veterinary Chiropractic Association). She is registered with the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners to practice as an Animal Chiropractor.  Dr. Maya has been a full-time animal chiropractor working with both large and small animals with Animal Connections Integrative Care since 2015.  Dr. Maya is currently serving on an Advisory Committee for the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board to consult and update their statutes on Complementary, Integrative, and Alternative Medicines.  Dr. Maya is also certified in Myofascial Release Therapy through the John F. Barnes approach for humans and animals.
